Our history

Eltronic A/S was founded

Eltronic A/S was founded in 2000 by Lars Jensen and the company started on Spettrupvej in Hedensted. Since then, the company has expanded rapidly and moved locations to Kilde Allé in Hedensted.

World's first Gas Valve Train

In 2010, Eltronic A/S initiated a development project for one of the biggest dual fuel engine designers. This project paved the way for the world’s first Gas Valve Train.

Eltronic FuelTech was established

In 2014, Eltronic FuelTech was established as a division within Eltronic A/S to develop high- and low-pressure equipment for the maritime industry.

ISO 9001 certification

In 2015, Eltronic was ISO 9001 certified for our quality management system. Since then, we have also achieved the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certificates.

Eltronic FuelTech spin-off

In 2018, Eltronic FuelTech was spun-off into its own seperate company named Eltronic FuelTech A/S. Eltronic FuelTech A/S continues as part of Eltronic Group.

Part of AEngine innovation project

In 2020, we officially became part of the AEngine project. The AEngine project aims to specify and demonstrate an entire marine-propulsion system that will pave the way for the first commercial order for an ammonia-fuelled vessel. Development of the engine is scheduled for 2024.

Introduces new product for methanol

In May 20222 we introduced a new product release, the 2″ Fuel Valve Train supporting methanol propulsion.
The 2 inch Fuel Valve Train supports larger two stroke engines with fuel consumptions of up to 19.000 kg/h with an additional option of water mixing supply of up to 6.700 kg/h.

FuelTech expands with office in Korea

In 2022 we opened our first official office outside Denmark. The Korean office and production facilities are located in the city of Yangsan in the south of the Korean peninsula.

Expanding the HQ with a 6,200 m2 development center

In September 2022 we stablished a new development and test center at the HQ in Hedensted. We are moving all assembly, development and testing activities to the new building.

Establish office in China

In January 2024 we establish our latest office in the city of Shanghai, China. Situated near both Hongqiao Airport and the Hongqiao Railway Station, the office boasts a strategic and prime location. This positioning is strategically chosen to serve as a central hub for both sales and service operations, enhancing convenience for our valued customers in China and Asia.

New HQ office building

To create space for the development of new fuel systems, we are expanding our facilities in Hedensted with a new almost 3,000-square-metre office and canteen building. The new building, which is being built by Eltronic Group, has three storeys and can accommodate up to 190 employees, and is expected to be completed in October 2024.

Launch of new supply system

We have recently launched a new supply system for methanol - a so-called Low-flashpoint Fuel Supply system (LFSS). In doing so, players in the shipping industry can now have an integrated fuel supply system from the fuel tank to the engine comprising a single supply system and fuel valve train which improves safety, cuts costs and saves energy.
