At Eltronic Fueltech, we have developed a new Gas Valve Unit (GVU) Unum to accommodate the increasing demand for more efficient and cost-down focused equipment within the maritime industry.

The GVU is developed for the new 2-stroke dual fuel pre-mixed gas ME-GA engine from MAN Energy Solutions and the unit is designed to be cost effective with fewer connections, easy service availability and a significant reduction in physical footprint.

The GVU is a single line gas valve unit designed to be connected through piping from the Low-flashpoint Fuel Supply system (LFSS) to fuel consumers such as internal combustion engines. GVU is controlled by the engine control system and its main functionality is to supply the 2-stroke dual fuel pre-mixed gas engine.

The GVU will stop gas supply to the engine in case of normal or emergency shutdown, and bleed through the vent header. Redundant blow-off valves release the gas pressure when entering blow-off state on the engine side of the GVU.
