The Gas Valve Unit Unum (GVU) is a single line gas valve train designed to be connected through piping from the Low-flashpoint Fuel Supply system (LFSS) to fuel consumers such as internal combustion engines (ME-GA).
The GVU is controlled by the engine control system. Its main functionality is to supply the low-pressure 2-stroke ME-GA (gas admission) engine. The GVU will stop gas supply to the engine in case of normal or emergency shutdown, and bleed through the vent header. Redundant blow-off valves release the gas pressure when entering blow-off state on the engine side of the GVU.
